A different kind of tag…

Memory Lane…the tag that gets everyone involved
I got this from my friend Jessica’s blog. I thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

The first memory that I have of you was meeting you at church one of our first Sunday’s in GR. I remember thinking, she is such a cute pregnant lady :-) You were very nice and friendly to me right away, and now you are a great friend. I am so glad that you are in our craft group, it is fun to spend that time with you. We should get together and cook some other time, maybe cookies or something yummy.

I was looking through some of my high school stuff the other day. It reminded me of the boy crazy Youth Conferences… the “No Kissing” Talk at Girls Camp…. Going to the Boy Scout Camp… and the endless supply of inside jokes, like a glass of water.

Wow! Look how things have changed… we are both happily married with a kid that has taught us that all those things we thought were so important… JUST AREN’T!

I’m so excited to see you and Hope this week! Maybe we’ll have to purchase some of those important snack we HAD to have on Youth Conferences… if I can even remember any…

The first memory both Paul and I have of you and Chad dates back about what?… Five, six years? Not sure. He was sick, and quite literally, we were living one day at a time. I think that you and Chad brought us dinner. We were touched with your thoughtfulness as we didn’t get out very much due to Paul’s illness, and there was precious little that made him smile. The dinner was good, but best of all, a beautiful friendship was born!

let’s see….I remember the day you were born…vaguely. Dad let us all know that we had another baby sister and I remember us all gathering outside Mom and Dad’s room waiting to see you for the first time. Fast forward several years and I remember me and my friends tormenting you and your friends. I really miss being able to pick on you on a daily basis. I love you.

    I think I could go on forever…
but one fun thing I remember is making leaves on the tree in your room with our hands like fingerpaint…
    OM & Quiz Bowl
our club house in the shed…
cleaning out the kennels for money to buy shakes…
Playing hide and go seek tag on prom night…
Mrs. Kozal, aerobics, monopoly, SEARS : ( yuck!!
blind man’s bluff at your birthday party…and you running into a pole…
going to the hospital to see you when you had Grant…

anyway..there are literally 1,000s of memories…and these might not even be the best..but I love you!
